Cookie & device storage policy
Keeping you signed in
We use a first-party authentication cookie named __Host-jn_php_session on the HTTPS website. Ordinary login sessions last up to four hours. If you select the optional, unchecked “Remember me for 30 days” checkbox when signing in, the cookie and server session last up to 30 days from that login. This choice is separate from newsletter and display preferences.
The cookie contains a random login token, not your password. It is restricted to HTTPS, inaccessible to browser JavaScript, and uses SameSite=Lax. A hashed token and expiry are stored on our server, and the remembered-login choice is recorded in account security activity. It is not used for advertising.
Sign out to end the current session, or revoke other sessions from your account security page. Changing or resetting your password revokes existing sessions. Clearing the cookie removes access from that browser. Do not enable remembered login on shared or public devices.
Your privacy choices
You can accept optional preferences, decline them, or change your choice at any time through Cookie settings. Essential security/session functions are separate from optional preferences. No advertising or analytics tools are installed in this build. Similar technology rules cover browser local storage as well as cookies; see ICO storage and access guidance.
| Storage | Purpose | Duration | Choice |

| junglenode-motion Local storage | Remembers reduced-motion preference | Until removed, replaced, or consent is withdrawn | Optional preferences |
| __Host-jn_session Production cookie | Authenticated account session and form security | Up to 4 hours | Essential when account/forms are used |
| jn_session Local development cookie | Development equivalent of the secure production session | Up to 4 hours | Local preview only |
Automatic region suggestions
Automatic selects the United Kingdom while it is the only configured region. It does not read your time zone for this choice. If multiple regions are configured in future, optional preference consent enables a broad time-zone suggestion. GPS and third-party IP geolocation are not used, and no lowest-latency guarantee is made. The selected region can be included in a brief you choose to download.
Withdrawing consent and clearing storage
Open Cookie settings and select Decline optional to stop optional preferences. Stored motion preference is removed; existing visual settings may remain in the current tab until changed or reloaded. You can also clear site storage in your browser, which may sign you out and make the privacy prompt appear again.
The preference checkbox starts off until you actively choose a setting. Closing the privacy dialog is not treated as acceptance. The website should not make access to ordinary content conditional on optional consent.
External services and future changes
Following a link to the existing billing portal, server panel or Discord takes you to that service and its storage policy. Before any new embedded live chat, analytics or marketing service is installed, its data use and consent behaviour must be reviewed and this table updated.
